Calendar

The Calendar is where most CampOne operators spend the largest part of their day. It shows every pitch on your campsite as a row and every day as a column, with bookings rendered as coloured blocks across the dates they cover. From here you can spot empty pitches, move bookings around when a guest changes their mind, and avoid double-bookings by simply looking at the grid. Four different views are available so you can switch between a tight one-week view (with morning and afternoon slots) and a higher-level monthly heat map without leaving the page.

In the sidebar under Buchungen (Bookings), click Kalender.

You can also open the calendar from anywhere by clicking the calendar icon in the Dashboard week-overview or by using the keyboard shortcut shown in the Hilfe (help) page.

The page title is Kalender. On the right of the title row is a row of four buttons that switch the active view. Only one is highlighted (filled blue) at a time:

  • Woche (VM/NM) — week view with morning (Vormittag) and afternoon (Nachmittag) slots.
  • Monat — full-month heat-map style view.
  • Dachboden — the storage / dorm-bed calendar.
  • Mehrbettzimmer — the shared-room calendar.

Switching views keeps your scroll position and the date you were focused on.

This is the default view and the one the front desk uses most.

  • Pitches as rows. Every pitch on your campsite (excluding Dachboden / Mehrbettzimmer) gets one row, ordered by site number.
  • Days as columns. Seven columns, each split into a morning (VM) and afternoon (NM) slot to make same-day arrivals and departures easy to read.
  • Booking blocks. Each booking shows up as a coloured block stretching from the check-in slot to the check-out slot. The colour reflects the booking status (confirmed, checked-in, completed, cancelled) and the guest type (Feriengast, Pauschalgast, Jahresplatz, Dachboden).
  • Today highlight. The current day is marked with a vertical accent so you always know where “now” is.
  • Header navigation. Use the previous / next buttons at the top of the grid to step a week back or forward, and click Heute (today) to jump back.
  • Drag-and-drop. If your tenant has the drag-and-drop feature enabled, you can grab a booking block and drag it to another pitch row or different dates. CampOne checks for conflicts before saving and refuses moves that would overlap an existing booking.
  • Click a block. Clicking any booking block opens the Booking detail page for that booking.

A four-week grid where each cell shows a single pitch on a single day. Cells are colour-coded by occupancy state — empty, occupied, arrival day, departure day. Use this view to scan a month for empty stretches you can market or to plan a maintenance window.

  • Click any cell to see the bookings that touch it.
  • The header shows the month name with previous and next buttons to walk through the season.

A calendar tuned to budget storage / attic / dorm beds. Instead of one row per individual sleeping spot, it shows availability for the whole Dachboden inventory across the dates and lets you book a guest in for a number of nights without a specific bed assignment. It only appears when your tenant uses the Dachboden feature.

The same idea as Dachboden, but for shared rooms rather than dorm beds. Useful for campsites that rent out cabins or shared rooms by the bed.

  1. Click Kalender in the sidebar.
  2. Make sure Woche is the active view.
  3. Use the previous / next buttons to navigate to the week the guest wants to stay.
  4. Look for a pitch row with no booking block on those dates.
  5. Click the empty cell on the arrival day in the row you found. A create booking modal opens with the pitch and date pre-filled.
  6. Fill in the guest’s details and save.
  1. Open the Woche view and find the booking block.
  2. Click and hold the block, then drag it onto the row of the new pitch.
  3. Release. CampOne checks the new pitch for conflicts.
  4. If the move is valid, it saves and the block jumps to its new row. If there is a conflict, you see an error and the block stays put.
  1. In the Woche view, locate the booking block.
  2. Drag the right edge of the block one slot further to the right.
  3. Release. The booking now ends one night later. Pricing is automatically recalculated when you next open the booking.

Switch from week to month view to plan ahead

Section titled “Switch from week to month view to plan ahead”
  1. Click Monat at the top right of the page.
  2. The grid changes to a one-month occupancy heat map.
  3. Use the previous / next buttons to step through months until you find the period you want to plan for.
  4. Click any cell to see what is booked there.
  1. Click Dachboden at the top right of the page.
  2. Pick the day you are interested in.
  3. The cell shows how many beds are booked and how many are still free.
  4. Click the cell to drill in or to add a new Dachboden booking for that day.
  • The week view can be slow on campsites with several hundred pitches. If scrolling feels heavy, switch to the month view or filter by pitch type using the Sites page first.
  • Drag-and-drop is feature-flagged. If grabbing a block does nothing, the feature is off for your tenant — your CampOne onboarding contact can enable it.
  • Cancelled bookings are visible by default. Toggle the Hide cancelled eye icon in the top header to hide them across the whole app, calendar included.
  • The calendar is tenant-scoped — you only ever see the pitches and bookings of your own campsite.
  • Bookings on a Jahresplatz (annual pitch) appear as a single long block stretching across the contract period. To make changes, open the booking detail and edit it there rather than dragging on the calendar.
  • The Dachboden and Mehrbettzimmer views show aggregate occupancy, not individual beds — manage individual guests from the Booking detail page or the dedicated Storage page.
  • Double-bookings are blocked at save time, not at drag time. CampOne always checks for conflicts before persisting any change.
