Setup
After consultation we configure your site in CampOne. This phase usually takes one to three weeks and runs alongside your day-to-day operations. Most of the work sits with us; your effort is roughly 4 to 8 hours of follow-ups and approvals spread across the whole setup.
What we set up together
Section titled “What we set up together”1. Pitches and map
Section titled “1. Pitches and map”We import or draw your pitch map:
- from a survey plan (DWG, PDF) — precise positions
- from an aerial photo (e.g. Swisstopo) — fast and good enough for most sites
- from an existing sketch — often the reality at smaller sites
We then place pitch types, infrastructure (sanitary blocks, power pillars, water taps, playgrounds), and sectors. You sign off the map in a preview before go-live.
2. Rates and seasons
Section titled “2. Rates and seasons”We configure your pricing structure:
- Seasons (pre, peak, post) with the matching dates
- Rates per pitch type (Standard, Comfort, XXL …)
- Per-person prices (adults, children, infants)
- Extras (electricity, dog, end-cleaning, laundry pack)
- Discounts and promotions (early bird, last minute, regulars)
- Tourist-tax rates per municipality and age group
For complex models (e.g. different rates for camping-club members) we work with you to find a pragmatic mapping.
3. Bank details and payment
Section titled “3. Bank details and payment”- Swiss QR-Bill with your IBAN or QR-IBAN
- TWINT integration with your merchant ID
- Optional credit cards (Stripe, Datatrans, Worldline)
- camt.054 import for automated payment matching
If you don’t have a TWINT merchant contract yet, we help you apply — typically 2 to 5 working days.
4. HESTA integration
Section titled “4. HESTA integration”- registration as a data submitter with the Federal Statistical Office
- your operator identifier (BUR number)
- test report with synthetic data
- approval by FSO
CampOne usually handles the technical registration on your behalf — you just sign a power of attorney.
5. Branding
Section titled “5. Branding”- Logo in several resolutions (for invoices, confirmations, website widget)
- Colours (primary, accent, background) for the online widget and guest portal
- Font (default or your own webfont)
- Languages (DE, FR, IT, EN — as needed)
- Texts for confirmation e-mails, arrival info, T&Cs
We provide standard templates that you can adopt or replace with your own wording.
6. Users and roles
Section titled “6. Users and roles”We create the accounts for your team:
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access including audit trail and user management |
| Manager | Bookings, invoices, reporting — no user management |
| Reception | Create and edit bookings, check-in/-out, payments |
| Bookkeeping | Invoices, payments, reporting — no booking edits |
| Read-only | View only (e.g. for fiduciaries) |
Roles can be customised when the standard ones don’t fit.
Test access
Section titled “Test access”Once configuration is in place, you receive full test access. You can:
- create test bookings and produce invoices
- preview the online widget on your website
- generate the HESTA report with test data
- walk through training material with realistic data
Test bookings are deleted before go-live — you start production with a clean database (or with the migrated data if you wish).
Effort on your side
Section titled “Effort on your side”We try to keep your effort low. In practice we need:
- bank details and logo (one e-mail)
- rate overview as an existing document (PDF/Excel)
- pitch list with numbers and types
- 2–3 follow-up calls of 30 minutes each
- sign-offs (map, rates, branding)
Usually nothing more.
Timeline
Section titled “Timeline”| Week | Step |
|---|---|
| 1 | Pitch map + pitch types |
| 1–2 | Rates + tourist tax + seasons |
| 2 | Payment + HESTA + branding |
| 2–3 | Test access, training prep, data migration |
For urgent timing (e.g. season starts in two weeks), we compress to about 10 working days.
What you have after setup
Section titled “What you have after setup”- a production-ready CampOne tenant
- an embedded online widget on your site (initially on a test subdomain)
- all staff with their own logins
- your own branding for confirmations, invoices, and the guest portal
- a verified data flow to HESTA, TWINT, and your bank
The next step is data migration.
