Settings (Einstellungen)
The Settings page is the catch-all hub for everything that is configured once and rarely touched again — your business name and address that appear on invoices, the prices for things like electricity and waste bags, automatic-message rules, branding, integrations, and any feature that is enabled by your plan. It is organised into a row of tabs at the top of the page; the tabs that appear depend on the features your tenant has switched on, so your screen may show fewer tabs than this reference describes.
This is the most central administration screen in CampOne. Most of the routine work in the system happens elsewhere (calendar, bookings, kasse) but every screen elsewhere reads its defaults from here. If something looks “wrong everywhere” — a wrong VAT number on every invoice, a price that has changed across the season, a disabled feature you expected to use — Settings is almost always where the fix lives.
How to find it
Section titled “How to find it”In the sidebar, open the Einstellungen (Settings) group near the bottom and click Einstellungen. Only users with the tenant_admin role can change values; staff can open the page in read-only mode. There is no entry in the user-menu footer; the sidebar is the only way in.
What is on the page
Section titled “What is on the page”The header shows the page title and a horizontal row of tabs. Click a tab to switch panels. Your active tab is remembered while you stay on the page; navigating away resets it to the first tab. Some tabs only appear when the matching feature flag is on (white label, self-check-in, push notifications, loyalty, public API, dynamic pricing, channel manager) and a few only appear for tenant_admin (Team, Datenschutz, Developers).
Betrieb (Business)
Section titled “Betrieb (Business)”Your operational profile. The first tab and the most important one — these values flow into invoices, receipts and registration cards.
- Name, E-Mail, Telefon, Adresse — the campsite’s official contact details. The address is a multi-line field; use it as it should appear on a printed invoice.
- MwSt.-Nr. (VAT number) — Swiss CHE-format number, printed on invoices.
- Meldeschein Hotel-Code — the four-digit code your tourist office assigned for HESTA reporting. Defaults to
405; change only if the tourist office asked you to. - Strom (CHF/kWh) — per-kWh price for guest electricity, used in end-of-stay billing.
- Abfallsack (CHF/Stk.) — per-bag price for waste bags sold at check-out.
- ACSI Basispreis / Zusatzperson — the rates you have agreed with the ACSI camping card scheme. Used when an ACSI guest is checked in.
- Dachboden Erwachsene / Jugendliche — per-night storage rates for the loft (Dachboden).
- Wichtiger Hinweis (Buchungsbestätigung) — a free-text notice appended to every booking-confirmation email. Useful for short-term notices (“pets not allowed in nature reserve”) or seasonal alerts.
A green “Gespeichert.” (Saved) message confirms your change.
Platztypen (Site types)
Section titled “Platztypen (Site types)”Manage your pitch types — the categories your sites belong to (for example “Tent”, “Caravan large”, “Cabin”). Create new types with a name and a maximum-occupants value. Expanding a type opens a usage panel showing the linked sites, recent bookings and partner types.
The Merge button moves all sites and prices from one type into another and deletes the source. This is the only way to remove a site type — direct deletion is not allowed because it would orphan historical bookings. Merging is one-way and not reversible from the UI.
Saisonpreise (Seasonal pricing)
Section titled “Saisonpreise (Seasonal pricing)”Per-site-type seasonal price rules: a date range, a per-night rate, and an optional minimum stay. Used by the calendar and the booking widget when calculating prices.
Sperrzeiten (Blocked dates)
Section titled “Sperrzeiten (Blocked dates)”Date ranges during which a site or site type is unavailable — winter closure, maintenance windows, private events. Blocked ranges show as red bars on the calendar and prevent the booking widget from selling the affected dates.
Gebühren (Fees and rates)
Section titled “Gebühren (Fees and rates)”A separate sub-page covering tourist tax, dog fees, visitor fees and other variable charges. Documented in detail under Fees and rates.
Inhalt (Content)
Section titled “Inhalt (Content)”The tenant CMS: editable blocks of text used by the booking widget and the guest portal — house rules, welcome text, info pages. See Content.
Automatische Nachrichten (Automated messages)
Section titled “Automatische Nachrichten (Automated messages)”Rules that trigger emails or SMS based on booking events (confirmation, arrival reminder, post-stay thank-you). Each rule has a trigger, a delay, a channel and a template. See the dedicated Notifications reference for trigger templates and delivery details.
Only visible when the automated_messaging feature is on.
E-Mail Vorlagen (Email templates)
Section titled “E-Mail Vorlagen (Email templates)”The wording of every transactional email — confirmation, payment receipt, cancellation, reminder. Each template has a subject line, a plain-text body and an HTML body. The Vorschau senden (Send preview) button mails the template to your address with sample data so you can check the formatting before it goes to a guest.
Templates use placeholders like {{guest_name}} and {{arrival_date}}. Save before previewing.
User accounts for your campsite staff. tenant_admin only. Create a new staff user by entering email, name and an initial password, and tick the modules they should have access to (Bookings & arrivals, Calendar, Registration cards, Annual pitches, POS, Reports, Settings). Existing users can have their module list edited or be removed.
Module access is additive — staff need at least one module to log in usefully.
Datenexport (Data export)
Section titled “Datenexport (Data export)”Bulk CSV / Excel export of bookings, guests, invoices, POS transactions and registration cards over a date range. Used for accounting hand-offs and for inspecting raw data outside CampOne. The export runs in the background and shows a download link when ready.
Datenschutz (Data protection)
Section titled “Datenschutz (Data protection)”tenant_admin only. Privacy and retention controls — guest-data retention period, right-to-be-forgotten requests, and the audit log of who changed which guest record. Use this tab to satisfy nDSG / GDPR requests.
Branding (White label)
Section titled “Branding (White label)”Visible only when the white_label feature is on. Lets you replace the CampOne logo in the sidebar and on guest emails with your own. Upload a logo, set primary colours and (if your plan includes it) a custom domain for the guest portal.
Self-Check-in
Section titled “Self-Check-in”Visible only when the self_checkin feature is on. Configures the guest self-check-in flow — whether registration cards require staff approval, which fields are mandatory, and the welcome message shown to guests when they finish.
Push-Benachrichtigungen (Push notifications)
Section titled “Push-Benachrichtigungen (Push notifications)”Visible only when push_notifications is on. Configures push delivery for the staff and guest mobile apps — VAPID keys, notification topics, default sound.
Loyalty
Section titled “Loyalty”Visible only when the loyalty feature is on. Sets up the points programme: how points are earned per CHF spent, redemption rates, and tier thresholds.
Developers
Section titled “Developers”tenant_admin plus public_api feature. API keys, webhook subscriptions and OAuth client credentials for integrating CampOne with third-party tools.
Dynamic Pricing
Section titled “Dynamic Pricing”tenant_admin plus dynamic_pricing feature. Rules that automatically raise or lower per-night rates based on occupancy, day of week or competitor signals.
Channels
Section titled “Channels”tenant_admin plus channel_manager feature. Connections to Booking.com, ACSI and other distribution channels — credentials, mapping of CampOne site types to external room types, and sync status.
Common workflows
Section titled “Common workflows”Update your business address before invoice run
Section titled “Update your business address before invoice run”- Open Settings, stay on the Betrieb tab.
- Edit the Adresse textarea.
- Click Speichern. The next invoice you generate uses the new address; previously issued invoices keep their original details.
Raise the electricity price for the new season
Section titled “Raise the electricity price for the new season”- Betrieb tab.
- Update Strom (CHF/kWh) — the new rate applies to bookings billed from now on. Existing in-progress stays will use the new rate at end-of-stay billing unless you have already added the line item.
- Speichern.
Replace a pitch type
Section titled “Replace a pitch type”- Open Platztypen.
- Expand the type you want to retire, click Merge.
- Pick the target type from the dropdown. Read the warning carefully — all sites and prices from the source move to the target and the source is deleted.
- Confirm merge.
Add a new staff user
Section titled “Add a new staff user”- Go to the Team tab. (Visible only to
tenant_admin.) - Click Neuer Mitarbeiter (New staff) and fill email, first name, last name and an initial password.
- Tick the modules they need.
- Speichern. The user can log in with the password you set; they should change it on first login.
Tweak a confirmation email
Section titled “Tweak a confirmation email”- E-Mail Vorlagen tab.
- Pick the template (for example “Booking confirmation”).
- Edit subject, plain-text body and HTML body.
- Speichern, then Vorschau senden to receive a sample in your own inbox.
Tips and gotchas
Section titled “Tips and gotchas”- Tabs that you do not see are not bugs — they depend on feature flags. If you expect a tab and it is missing, check with CampOne support whether the feature is enabled for your plan.
- The Betrieb tab does not include language, timezone, default currency or a logo — those live elsewhere: the language is per-user (footer of the sidebar), the timezone is set by CampOne support, the currency is fixed to CHF, and the logo upload sits under Branding on white-label plans.
- Saving on Betrieb writes the entire form at once. Reload the page if you suspect another admin is editing the same fields.
- Site types cannot be deleted — only merged. Plan your taxonomy before you go live.
- Every change to Settings is audited. The Datenschutz tab shows the full audit log.
- Email-template placeholders are case-sensitive. A typo in
{{Guest_Name}}will render the placeholder verbatim in the sent email. - If the Settings page itself is hidden from your sidebar, your role does not have the
einstellungenmodule — ask atenant_adminto grant it on the Team tab.
